A consultation to develop greater awareness, both physical and inner — with a reasoned introduction to the world of martial arts.
The name echoes the Dō (道), the "way" of the Japanese martial arts: a practice that trains attention even before the body.
This is not a practical class and there is no kimono involved: it is a consultation, in person in Torri di Quartesolo (Vicenza), devoted to techniques for being more present and aware in everyday life. On the physical side, the work focuses on attention to the surroundings and the people around us, on posture, on breath and on the signals the body sends before the mind notices them.
On the inner side, you learn to recognise automatic reactions, to observe thoughts and emotions without being swept away by them, and to stay clear-headed in moments of choice, tension or uncertainty — with simple exercises to bring into daily life.
Part of the consultation is a conceptual introduction to the martial arts: the differences between the main disciplines — traditional and modern, focused on combat, self-defence or inner practice — their methods and the commitment each one requires. That way, if you decide to walk into a gym or dojo, you already know what to look for. The path grows out of a personal practice cultivated over more than thirty years and is suitable for anyone, with no prior experience needed.
